They came out yummy and tasted very close to the “regular” batch.
Since I was home sick on Monday, I got totally bored. I decided to block out that I had a fever and surprise Carlo with sugar-free marshmallows. I used the same marshmallow recipe selected for Tuesdays with Dorie last week. The only things I did differently was to replace the sugar with 1/2 cup, plus 2 tablespoons of Splenda. I also added a little Splenda to the cornstarch to coat the cut pieces.
It’s definitely good for those who are looking for a dietetic option.
ENJOY!

Wow-great to know that you can substitute splenda and have it work out. They look good!
such a great thing to know!! I use agave nectar in mine instead of corn syrup and it works well too. great job!
Make marshmallows without sugar. What a great challenge !BravoverO
Great idea to try a sugar free version! I applaud you for this! I am actually in awe of you!
Excellent! This was so sugary and surely bad for us, I was wondering if there is an alternative. Did you use regular corn syrup?
Thank you so much for testing this. I will have to try that next time!
Wow! Great playing around to make a sugar free version.
Sugar-free marshmallows? WOW! You’re gonna be rich!
